Ed B Stoned's open mic night at the Cricketer's on Baildon Green, Bradford shifted into another gear tonight.
Hosted by the Dual Jewels of Jean and Vicky the evening included an array of quality performers far more capable than any TV talent show contestants from the mere fact that most of them wrote their own material.
The performers who played other artist's songs, reworked them with such originality to deserve particular artistic merit, namely Anna Watkins, Allan Smashed Gill, Mark Memphis, Rob Watkins and Co, with some of Ed B Stoned's original covers.
Ed also performed several blinding spots of his own brilliant original material along with a surprise appearance from a performer called "Just Chris" who hails from Leeds. Everyone was taken aback by his  compositions, vocal power and ability not to break a guitar string. "Our Kev"(kevin zen) performed some of his own tunes lamenting the fact that his iPhone App was wrongly listed in Apple's medical section.
The stars who really stood out were Anna and Just Chris, rumours of a collaberation are in the pipeline.
Allan's ability to hold a perfectly in tune note while being very, very smashed was also worth noting.

Is life just a joke where only a devil gets to laugh?

Tap your foot to a slow blues beat...

is life just a joke, where only a devil gets to laugh?

in the end it's just a big black bloody punchline.
